SATs Tuition for Year 2 and Year 6,
plus Year 9 support
We support children in Year 2 (KS1) and Year 6 (KS2) to feel confident and prepared for their SATs, and we support Year 9 (KS3) students with important end‑of‑year tests and Key Stage 3 assessments. Our SATs and KS3 tuition focuses on building strong foundations in Maths and English, closing gaps from earlier years, and helping children approach their tests calmly and positively.

For Year 2, we concentrate on key early reading, writing and number skills to give children the best possible start.
For Year 6, we provide structured preparation for the Key Stage 2 SATs in English (Reading and SPaG) and Maths (Arithmetic and Reasoning), with plenty of practice questions and exam techniques.

For Year 9 (KS3), we focus on strengthening core skills in Maths and English, filling any gaps from earlier in secondary school, and preparing students for school tests and the step up to GCSE.

OUR APPROACH
Our SATs and KS3 tuition is built around the national curriculum and the skills children need for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 SATs, and for success in Key Stage 3 (Year 9) assessments.
We combine clear teaching, carefully chosen practice questions and plenty of encouragement so that children feel secure in what they know and ready to show it in their tests.

We focus on:
• English – reading accuracy and comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPaG), and clear, well‑structured writing.
• Maths – number facts and fluency, the four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division), fractions, measures, shape, and reasoning questions.
• Exam awareness and confidence – understanding how SATs papers and school tests are structured, working steadily under time pressure, and learning how to check and improve answers.

All SATs and KS3 students begin with a 1.5‑hour assessment so we can understand their current level in Maths and English, and identify any gaps that might affect their SATs performance or KS3 progress. There is a one‑off assessment fee, but if you decide to continue and pay for the first month’s tuition, we discount one week’s lessons – so the assessment cost is effectively covered in your first month.
